Hi Friends,
Welcome again to my abode!
Throughout my previous episodes, I have delved into the possibility of a higher intelligence existing and have come to the conclusion that it is highly likely. Now, my ultimate goal and mission is to confirm the existence of an intelligence that surpasses human comprehension. I intend to do it from two entirely different angles…….philosophical and scientific.
To begin, I will explore the perspectives of those who have come before us and have felt the presence of this higher intelligence. People of diverse religions and cultures have reported experiencing a profound connection to this power, receiving insights and intuitions that have provided solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems. These individuals have found great meaning and purpose in their lives as a result of these encounters, believing that only the existence of a Higher Power can provide a reasonable explanation for these experiences and their guided path.
People with a strong metaphysical faith commonly believe in a power that is beyond comprehension, a guiding force that gives their lives meaning. This belief is not based on tangible evidence, but rather on the experience and feeling of the mysterious presence that is greater than themselves. It is fascinating to observe that diverse cultures and societies have arrived independently at the concept of the existence of a higher power. Even the renowned scientist Einstein recognized the beauty of experiencing the unknown, which he believed was at the core of both science and art. This outlook was shared by another great scientist, Isaac Newton, who famously discovered gravity and laid the foundation for interplanetary travel. Despite his intellectual achievements, Newton recognized the power of the mysterious and the unknown.
During a visit to Newton’s home, his friend and fellow scientist Edmond Halley, a professed atheist, was struck by an impressive model of the solar system on display just beyond the entrance hall. Curious, Halley asked who had created this intricate replica. Before answering, Newton recalled their previous debate, during which Halley had argued that the movements of the planets and celestial bodies did not suggest a divine intelligence at work. Newton then revealed that he had built the model himself, calmly explaining how he had calculated the gravitational forces between the planets and sun, and used these figures to determine their orbits precisely. Impressed, Halley congratulated him on his genius, to which Newton responded with a smile, “I have only made a small model and that too a non-working one and you are calling me a genius. What then, would you call the creator of the real one which is infinitely larger and fully operational?” Halley was left speechless.
What message did Newton impart? That there exists a superior intelligence beyond us, correct? Now, let’s pay attention to the words of the greatest scientist of all time, Albert Einstein: “The more I dive into science, the more convinced I am of the existence of a higher intelligence.” During Einstein’s life, the most extensive, complicated, and systematic structure, the DNA, and the living body’s internal functioning had not yet been discovered. If it had been, he would have undoubtedly remarked, “It is clear that a higher intelligence of divine proportions definitely exists. Case closed.”
For those who remain sceptical, let’s examine the testimonies of other brilliant minds throughout history. Below, you will find statements from knowledgeable individuals across the globe.
“Evidence of a higher intelligence can be found in the very fabric of the universe. The intricate design and the order apparent in the universe confirm that there is a higher intelligence at work here”.
“Consider the complex design of the universe and the laws governing it. Is there a reason you can deny the existence of a higher intelligence”?
Newton’s discovery and articulation of the three laws of motion was a monumental achievement that enabled us to understand how the universe operates. The first law, combined with the laws of gravity, explains why celestial bodies continue moving perpetually without slowing down or stopping. The second law lets us calculate the force needed to move objects, including vehicles like airplanes and rockets. The engines that power these vehicles are designed based on these calculations. The third law is responsible for enabling heavier-than-air objects to fly, and its crucial concept of “every action has an equal and opposite reaction” underlies many of our daily activities like walking, jumping, and playing. These laws didn’t originate with Newton, but his genius allowed him to discover and describe them in a precise and coherent language. They were always present in the universe from the beginning, and their precision and accuracy allow scientists to have 100% faith in them when designing rockets and other technologies including sending satellites, probes and telescopes in space. The fact that there are at least 26 universal laws in operation today, and likely many more yet to be discovered, should compel even the most sceptical observer to acknowledge the evidence of higher intelligence at work. While science may still be young, we’ve already made incredible strides in understanding the laws that govern our universe, and we still have much to learn. One thing is clear: these laws apply to the entire universe, without exception.
Is it possible for an unintelligent force to be responsible for the creation of the laws which the whole universe follows?
….to be continued.
