Welcome again to my Abode!
This article is the first one in a series that seeks to establish that a human body is not built by accident or at random but has a completely scientific basis to its development. Like a well-planned city needs a competent city planner to plan out all the projected and desired utilities for the inhabitants, our body too received the services of a master planner. It is not just the provision of utilities which is important but their perfect running in a streamlined and seamless fashion. The working so smooth that the human being does not even get a hint that so much of the activities are happening underneath. If that becomes the case what role is left for the randomness to play in our creation.
To create a case that a divine intelligence is at work where our bodies are concerned, I plan to open up the whole body and explain its remarkable…. oh, not remarkable, miraculous working and you will be forced to agree that it can’t be anything but the work of The Divine even before I have completed this mission of mine. The internal working of a human body is so scientific, so precise and so elaborate that you would be left in no doubt that it can only be a ‘project’ of the Divine scale, and more so because we as humans have no role at all to play in those miraculous performances happening in billions every single day inside each one of us.
In fact, the articles numbered 10th and 11th should have been ample enough to prove my point but I want to show that not one aspect of our body but each and every aspect of its working is no less incredible as its enormity is. The Enormity details of which I provided in the article number 10.
This series of articles will have two versions. One would be in simple language to make those who are not scientifically savvy understand clearly what our body is performing and how. The second version would be completely scientific, delving in the intricacies of the body functions for those who are interested in the technical details. So, if any of you are not interested in the scientific version just skip it. When I was studying these workings a couple of years back, the thrill and fascination I experienced was beyond explanation, absolutely ineffable. I am sure some of it is definitely going to rub on you. Now let’s take a dive in a world so deep that the Marina Trench will appear like a small puddle.
The exterior of our body is a remarkable edifice, rather a veritable fort, whose thick multi layered walls encompass the country, our body. Our internal body, populated by trillions of cells working together in tandem, synergistically and in perfect harmony to create a unified and a functional whole. Much like a country the body is governed by intricate systems that ensure its survival and wellbeing. An extremely well-organized set up whose perfection is unparalleled. Not one country in the highly developed world can show a candle to our bodies as far as its perfect setup and automation is concerned.
This ‘edifice,’ our external body serves as a protective fortress with our skin as its sturdy walls and the openings are like well-guarded gates, the mucus and saliva are the guards protecting the entrances, nose, ears, mouth, 24/7. The walls and the guarded gates shield our internal systems from external threats and maintain the structural integrity of the fortifications in coordination with the muscles and bones. Here I would like to elucidate that our skin is continuously under attack by the hackers which are just poking nonstop to locate a breach, any vulnerability in the system, to infiltrate.
The skin, our wall, acts as the first line of defence protecting our internal organs from any intruders. Our skin looks so static that it seems it has no role in the activity of protection. Once you read the following story which relates to the different layers of the skin you would be astounded to read how dynamic our skin is…. far from static we all consider it as.
Consider the human body as an expansive country and the skin as the chain of its border cities. Now imagine this border is composed of millions of border cities encapsulating the whole country protecting it from all directions. Out of these millions of cities I shall take just take one city as an example to demonstrate how the city stops the enemy from entering. Just keep in mind that the city I am referring to is the smallest portion of the skin of a human body.
The city is situated between two walls. The outer one provides protection and defence against harsh elements and external invaders, a physical barrier if you will. The inhabitants of the city are billions of skin cells having habitat in- between the two walls. These inhabitants are hardworking individuals busy in different trades working day and night to maintain the integrity and resilience of the outer wall. The city is home to many other specialist skin cells. Among them are elite citizens residing in posh area near the inner wall. These preeminent citizens are Fibs who have an extraordinary ability to produce brick and mortar to repair the walls when they deteriorate or get damaged.
A small story to explain follows.
There is a bustling city known as Dreamcity where the remarkable community of skin cells reside. These hard-working individuals make up the outer covering of the entire city providing protection and defence against harsh elements and external invaders. The skin cells work tirelessly day and night to maintain the delicate balance of PH value and moisture content of the whole city.
Near the outer wall of the city nestled within the protective walls live the Melans. These talented individuals are responsible for the production of melanin. The pigment that gives the skin its colour and shields it from the damaging effects of the sun…. from the UV and IR rays.
Near the outer walls in the encampments resides the Border Security Force BSF.
The whole city is crisscrossed by a bustling network of blood vessels known as the circulation highway. This intricate system supplies essential nutrients and oxygen to the entire population of the skin, ensuring that the skin cells are well nourished and capable of carrying out their duties effectively.
One fateful day the city faced a grave threat from a sinister group of invaders known as harmful pathogens, the bacteria. These malicious intruders sought to infiltrate the city and wreak havoc upon its peaceful inhabitants engrossed in their daily routine.
These odious creatures started testing the defences with exploratory attacks. In response to this imminent danger, the BSF, the first responders of the defence system (our immune system) comprising of specialized cells, mobilized to fortify the city defences.
The enemy was able to locate a minuscule breach in the wall. As the inimical pathogens approached in their bellicose frame of mind, the specialized detection cells, cells stationed at the borders of the city swiftly detected the impending threat and sent out urgent distress signals to the mighty immune system through SOS couriers asking for additional backup and reinforcements. The immune system immediately deployed special forces. The dreaded commandos true to their reputation for promptness which was world famous swiftly travelled the intricate network of blood vessels guided by the SOS signals to the epicentre of the impending invasion.
With the battle-hardened immune defenders prepared with their firearms and ammunition, blew the battle trumpet at the city fringes. The commandos joined the fight with the sporadic firing BSF with fearsome onslaught on the enemy with all the guns blazing. The initial counterattack by the warriors of special forces sent a majority of the enemy to oblivion, witnessing which the surviving invaders realized their precarious situation in the face of overwhelming odds beat a hasty retreat.
The Melans, recognizing the urgency of the situation, sprang into action, producing an extra layer of melanin to shield the city from the detrimental effects of the invaders. The Fibs within their fortified castle worked tirelessly to repair any damage incurred during the conflict, reinforcing the city’s defences.
In a heroic display of unity and coordination despite the daunting odds, the immune defenders with their unwavering determination, managed to repel the hostile pathogens and safeguard their city. The skin cells stood triumphant. Their collective efforts ensuring the safety and well-being of their beloved city.
Dear readers, did you realize how well coordinated and superbly planned the efforts of the defenders, the skin cells were, and how many different actors had a role to play in this theatre of war providing their specialized contribution of their natural skills. How professionally acted out was the face off with the enemy! Furthermore, can we deny how well marshalled were the resources and how perfect was the sequence and timing of all the actions! But the question remains what INTELLIGENCE was it that organized and coordinated the efforts and contributions of all the players involved in the skirmish at the precise stages and time?
Just imagine this is what is going on at the surface of your skin at millions of places all the time. Your skin is under attack billions of times every day of your life. The microbes are always launching their probing attacks trying to find a weak spot, a breach in your skin. Most of the times, our front-line defenders our border security force manage to save us.
The unity, fortitude and the extraordinary functions of the skin cells serves as a testament to the incredible capabilities of the human body and the vital role played by each individual in safeguarding the wellbeing of the whole. A perfect display of the art of war by well-trained battle-hardened assets marshalled and deployed to perfection….to Divine perfection.
What is our contribution or role in the whole process? Nothing! We are not even aware of the skirmishes, the millions of them, happening every hour of each day of our lives.
Same defensive sequences take place when the pathogens try to sneak in through the gates…. our ears, nose and mouth. The mucus and the saliva are our billets at those gates housing the front-line defenders which beat back the enemy to retreat most of the time at the gates itself. But in a few cases the harmful bacteria manage to cross the initial check post and enter the sacrosanct environment of the human body. How does that happen and what is our body’s response then?
If it was just a skirmish when the enemy attempted to infiltrate our body their successful invasion is going to result in a bloody war which involves all the elements of the modern wars being fought between developed countries possessing the most advanced techniques and equipment. You don’t believe my word? Then just await my next article and be prepared to get astounded even more.
